Whenever I find myself in a creative rut, I head straight for magazines. I could easily spend hours in Juicy News or The Booksmith flipping through titles – there’s something intrinsically wonderful and real about having a tangible journal to page through.
Which magazine I gravitate towards depends entirely on my mood. While I’ll always subscribe to the hallmark publications (I’m pretty sure my VOGUE subscription is pre-paid through 2020 at this point), in recent years I’ve developed a deep love and appreciation for certain under-the-radar indie publications.
